Headed for a day fishing when I lost compression on #5. Pulled the head and fould Galling on cylinder wall. Upon tear down, piston is trashed and cylinder needs a little clean up.. I believe the culpret was water in the fuel or some high rpm lean-out. Or possible a bit of both.
Where can I buy parts? Gasket kit, piston, rings, rod bolts, head gasket (o-ring type).. worth the $$ without going to the Merc Parts Dealers and spending a fortune? 2001 2.5L 200 EFI Engine Ser#OT272394,, if this helps.
