Need to Find a Mercruiser 140!!!!!!

Someone please help me find a used motor for my 1971 Larson. The block is toast. I am in desperate need of finding a Mercruiser 140 to put in. I have checked ebay and there are one or two but I keep getting out bid on them.

Sounds like you need to find a boat that's being scrapped that has a motor with some life in it. Do you have any local marinas in your area? They just might have something out the back they got saddled with as a trade and would let you take the motor out for a reasonable amount.

I found a good inline 6 cylinder and outdrive combo locally for $800, but i did not have enough clearance to put in a 6 cyl because i have a 4 cyl. If you would like to inquire about it e-mail me at k_krobbins@bellsouth.net and i will put you in touch with the man. He lives in Alabama.
