Need to identify tube on my carburator

Mercruiser 260 1983 4 bbl has a gold colored port that comes right out the front and there is a clear tube attached that goes down the left side of the engine it is leaking some "stuff" what is that thing ? It looks like simple IV tubing but I have a feeling this has to be "fuel compatible"

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,.... It's to alert you to a failed fuel pump diaphragm, a safety feature,....

If there's fuel in it, yer fuel pump needs to be replaced,......

Yes. Supposed to be Tygon tubing or similar. Used on fuel lines for lawn mowers, weed whackers, etc. Holds up to gasoline better than IV drips.
