Does anyone know where a 1975 Grady white fisherman bilge pump would be located? Or how I would be able to find it. It is a center console and I can't follow the wire
If it runs, turn it on and follow the sound. 99% of the pumps on outboards are in the back of the boat near the drain plug. But, on a 1975 boat, who knows what a previous owner did. You might not even have one.
Ideally it would be at the lowest point in the hull which as Don said, is typically near the drain plug. Wouldn't make much sense to put it anywhere else since the water would have to get pretty deep before it could pump and it could not begin to empty the actual bilge.
