How do I run my 175 Johnson without my oil injection hooked up . I want to start it and I dont have it complety installed on the boat but want to run it during the next few weeks . I have the battery and a wiring harnest and key sw hooked up . It was rebuilt and I want to keep things moving until I get it installed . Is it bad to run oil mix through carbs on a oil injected motor ? Thanks for the input . JJB

You can run this engine on premix. If you are just going to do some test running, just hook up the oil box, fill with oil, and run it. Double oil would be a good thing for first start up, and break in. It would also show that everythingis working properly.

It would take you just as long to bypass it (maybe more) as to connect it. Invest your time, don't waste it.
