I just picked up a 1971 6hp 6102G longshaft. The previous owner said he had run into shallow water and got some trash in the cooling system. He had replaced the impeller but it wouldn't pump water; never went back to it.
I removed the lower unit to check the impeller. I noticed that the water tube wasn't attached to the crankcase. It looks like it was damaged the last time it was apart.
I think that I need part#0304318 which is no longer available.
Anyone know where I can find one?

Can one be made out of standard copper tube, or are the bends too "funky"?

JB. thanks I'll check with them tomorrow.
TX I thought of that myself, probably what I'll end up doing.
I'm fixing it to sell. I want it right but don't want to spend more than I have to.

Yes, you can use ordinary copper tubing if you have to. Just make sure that the outside diameter is as close to the original tubing as you can find, and that you get a good seal with the grommets.

When you cut the tubing to length, be sure to burnish both ends, so that the edge that is created from the cutter, doesn't grab the inner surface of the grommets. I recommend that you replace both the upper and lower grommets. The upper one is a bit trick to get back in properly but you must make sure its right. The key is in getting the rubber nipples in the holes that are molded into the edge of the upper tubing receptacle

Thanks guys
Copper tubing did the trick.
Replaced the grommets and put it all back together.
Works perfect

Thanks again
