Need Wiring help for Battery Disconnect

I'm in the process of rewiring my project boat. My plans are to install a battery cut off switch, and a switch gang panel with fuses for my lights, bildge pump, fish finder, etc. I would also like to wire the horn independantly from the panel so that the horn can be sounded at any time.

Does anyone have a basic wiring diagram for a single battery system with a battery cutt off switch for an outboard?

I just don't want to make any mistakes that coud damage my equipment. I have been known to smoke a few wires do to a detail I missed and I'd rather not go through that this time.

Thanks

Re: Need Wiring help for Battery Disconnect

Disconnect the battery cable and the smaller gauge (10 guage) wire from the positive battery terminal. Install the battery disconnect switch (onely two connections). Wire the horn directly to the battery. You would need to disconnect the +12 volt feed to the horn button from the fuse panel and connect it directly to the POS terminal of the battery.
