Needing An Outboard Pro!!

I am having problems with My Chrysler 105 (1979 model). I have come to the conclusion that my ignition coil is bad but my engine is turning over by compressions. I am trying to turn it with a pull string. After I get a new ignition coil, do you think it will free the motor up and make it easier to turn over??
