Re: Needs of Americans
I agree with just about everyones response here.

Just one more thing.

Before we start sending all this money overseas, how about the government paying the dependants of victims of Sept 11, 2001?

These people have only gotten small compensation for that event, and almost none of the money promised to NYC has been delivered.

Now here in NYC, they are closing firehouses , not hiring new firefighters to replace those lost on Sept. 11, not hiring new police officers, laying-off school teachers and sanitation workers !

Now, Hillary Clinton has seen to it that $4 million of the money slated for NYC, has been sent to her community in upstate NY, and not one person who was lost on Sept. 11 came from that community!

Then Chuck Schuler has seen it fit to send millions of dollars of NYC money to his constituants in his home community, yet the people of NYC, who were the victims of Sept. 11, now have to deal with 8 firehouse closings, that constitutes a 5 to 10 minute response time from FDNY, up from a 2 to 3 minute response time.

The money these 2 Democrats stole from the people of NYC, will cost the people of NYC with their lives!

This is not the choice of the people of NYC, but rather that of those who are suppose to represent them.

Here, in an old city like NY, those reponse times are the difference between life and death (there are alot of old building here that are more flammable than a book of matches), but the Democrats that represent NY feel that its more important to use the money slated to save the city from economic disaster, for their own re-election campaigns.

The problems of this country can be traced back to one thing and one thing only, GREED !

As long as this is the way the government fixes things, nothing will ever get done and not one problem will be solved.
