Neptune Questions

Just came into posession of an old Neptune outboard. It is in truly excellent condition. It apears to have been used very little but has been in storage for many, many years. Its not frozen up. The model # is: AA1A the ser # is D106OUG<br />Not sure about the U in the ser# it may be a V.<br />Don't know anything at all about these motors. Could someone tell me the year, HP, is it air cooled, can I get parts and anything else interesting you might know about them.<br />Thanks<br />Tinker

Tinker, Your motor is a Mighty Mite 1.7 hp @4,000<br />rpm.Water cooled.<br /> Built in 56-59 They appear much older than they are.Fuel mix is 16:1 1/2 pint to a gallon.TCW3<br />rated oil. Campion J6C plug at .025, point gap at<br />.020.Lower unit gets non channeling waterproof<br /> grease.Checked every 20 hours.<br /> First appeared in the 30s at 1.2 hp.And was built<br /> basically unchanged through to the early 80s<br /> Im sure that is some sort of record.<br /> They appear regularly on ebay and seem to sell briskly.
