new 2003 Digital tach wiring HELP!

I just recived my new Digital tach to replace my 1998 2 stroke tach. It came with two harness

1) long with two square connectors , I asume that is the trim harness
2) one marked (6Y5-83553) no idea on wthat that is for.
3) the gauge has four other wires coming off of it:
Blk, GRN,BL,YE
where do they connect?

connect the trim harness or reuse your old one, the other harness should have a red,green,yellow and a black with bullet connectors, should also have a fuse on the yellow and red leads.
one end connects to the ign harness at the keyswitch the other goes to the tach, on the tach, yellow is key on 12v,red is not used,black is ground and green is tach send.
make sure the dip switchs are set correctly and go play.

I have one more Q, The wire that is coming off my trim switch (thumb sw) where does that connect? it seems to be spliced into a bwn wire?

coming off the trim switch should be a red,light blue and light green, they plug into the 10 pin main harness, brown is for the nuetral safty switch.

Where do the oil press and water temp sending unit wires come from?

the F225 in 03 had no provision for oil pressure and the temp guage was optional. does your F225 have a sender installed for water temp ?

No it does not. I just see on the gauge there is a oil and water graphic on the bottom of the it. do those not function with a 4 stroke. ?
