New 4HP Yamaha four-stroke starts pretty good when cold (two or three pulls)...but is a real bear when warm (10-15-20 pulls). What's the deal? Yamaha suggests cranking the throttle to about 3/4 when warm, which helps, but still just wants to sputter.
I'm not sure if it's flooded, or if the throttle plate isn't opening properly...but I'll check.
Does anyone else have this problem. Seems like it should start easily when warm! Also, Yamaha seems to know about this problem because of the printed "hard starting to 3/4" instructions printed on the the motor!
What gives?
