New 6hp owner....how to read oil dip stick

I just picked up my first gas motor...i 2007 mercury 6HP....however, i did not get the manual with it...looking at the little yellow dip stick for the engine oil, there are two lines on it....should the oil reach reach one of those two lines or go all the way up when the engine is full of the 45 mL of oil?

You should down-load a manual from the Download Center on Brunswick Marine's website

The oil should be between the marks. The level is read after screwing the cap/ dipstick in fully,

The total oil capacity is 450ml. The difference between the dipstick marks is equivalent to 100ml

Note in particular that the engine may only be carried, transported or stored upright or lying tiller handle side down
