Good islands and beaches down in that stretch of the river. Thats for sure. Except for the damn tidal influence that is. Got stuck for two days on one of those islands when we were camping once.

I just picked up a Mercury pro max 27 pitch prop. Hope to his close to 90 with that one.

The stainless prop I have says "21-M", I have no idea what that means or what the aluminum one I have on there now is. I didn't see any markings on the aluminum one. I need to research prop markings and pitch.

I've only been in St Helens a year, I've spent most of my time in Portland and Beaverton area. But a few boaters at work have been telling me about some great camping areas and some parts that are just flat out fast. I didn't buy a 200hp to leisurely cruise.

Oh yeah. Theres some good smooth parts of the river down there back behind the islands. That is a boating, fishing and camping paradise. That is except for the winds that pick up at night and the shallow approaches to the islands . When the tide goes out you can be high and dry 200 feet from the water. Good soft sand though.

That Longview boat dock is probably the best boat dock Ive ever used and Ive used a LOT .

Now that I know what my jack plate is for, I can't wait to get her back out on the water.

I thought it was only for running in shallow water, I had it all the way down last time out. I need to fix the speedometer and play with different height settings and really see what she'll do at speed.

<edit> Wired, I want to run the river with your boat. I'm dying to see what yours can do.
