I have a 2006 Pro Line 21 Sport Center Console that is equiped with a Leaning post and a baitwell system (all in one) that I can't stand. I fish lake ontario and we troll a lot so seats would be more ideal. I was thinking about take out the leaning post/baitwell and adding two pedestal seats but was wondering if I could cover up the footprint of the original leaning post with a thin piece of plastic (say a quarter inch thick) since i am assuming there will be holes for the plumbing of the bait well. Would any of you guys know a good material that I could use for this? I was thinking a thin cuttable plastic type material but i want it to be able to withstand the harsh environment and don't know what is ideal. Thanks a lot!

Re: New Cockpit help

anything you cover it with that is thick will make you stub your toe when walking around.

guys have used painted wood and beveled the edges.

you might also want to go to a local plastics store and see if you can find a peice of plastic for the job

cheers
