New deck to be installed, should I resin the underside before laying it out?

I intend to apply resin and CSM to the top side of the deck once it's laid in the boat. Was wondering if the underside of the plywood needs a coat of resin before laying the plywood in the boat.

Yes, Glass the bottom also and your deck will last you 30+ years.

i just re decked a 1988 Dixie Hustler and i applied glass to the underside for the simple reason if water gets underneath the floor for any reason and the foam gets wett the wood would rott from the underside and all the time and money you spent would be for nothingView attachment 107613View attachment 107614View attachment 107615View attachment 107616

resin alone........or resin coating as its called .....will do nothing to protect the underside of the deck......it needs a layer of fiberglass csm.
even a thin .075 oz will be fine......but it needs the glass
