I made a purchase on ebay yesterday. I actually know the seller,they are local here in town...I have already paid for this item using paypal, and have several email responses back from the seller....
Today I wake up and in my email I have 2 messages from 2 different addresses talking about my ebay item,including the item number, and a link to the auction,asking for direct payment, but they are not the seller..... I receive several "phishing" emails claiming to be tied with ebay, but this is my first time I have ever gotten emails that pertain and describe to a T, the auction I just won....
Just a note of caution, these crooks are finding more and more ways to try and get your info out of you...If I didnt already pay for the item, and didnt know the seller personally...The links they provided looked legit.
