You know the kid in the Disney commercial who is in bed and says whith a huge grin,"I am too excited to sleep!".. Hello everyone that was me at 3am.
I bought a 2008 Monterey 250 CR with every option they have and I picked out some nice Raymarine electronics. I sighned the paperwork and a fat check to them last Friday. They are waiting on the trailer to come in and they are installing a few extra goodies to make me happy and to lower maintainance costs.
I stopped by yesterday evening to see how she is comming together. She is sooo pretty. Deep bergandy sides with white. All that stainless steel sooo shinny. The fresh water cooling kit on the 5.7L Volvo all buttoned up. Anker and windless all set ready to splash into the harbor at Oak Bluffs. Even my fenders match the color of the boat. The new inflatable dinghy with a new 3.5hp Merc all set and registered. They made a custom bracket to store the Honda 2000 generator down in the bilge. (No, it wont be ran down there, just stored.)
Our family have had wonderfull times and 100s of great memories on our little but mighty Wellcraft. We always knew that we would kick it up a notch and step into cruiseing. This will be our 2nd new boat and #4 in total. My wife is thrilled that there is no more porta potty in her future and a marine head, ac, her Tasimo coffee maker are just below deck.
Many pictures will follow but I need to get her in the driveway first. They are triing for tomarrow, but if not then, will be Wednesday. It all comes down to the trailer.
