We have a new motor coming for our 19-6 aquasport, motor is a 95 evinrude 130. Boat was previously powered by dual evinrude 50hp, one of which blew a quarter sized hole in the piston due to a failed VRO unit. After rebuilding the motor, we were advised by our mechanic to remove the VRO. So we did, and have been pre mixing ever since, happily.

With another VRO motor on the way we are unsure of what to do. One one hand it would be nice to not have to mix the fuel, but a blown motor is pretty bad. The motor had a new VRO pump put on it in 02 if that means anything.

What do you all think? Keep it or Junk it? If removed are their any ill effects on the motor or fuel economy?

Thanks very much-
