Recently I got a 30-35 hp OMC vintage around 1992 pull start, tiller, long shaft ex- Military outboard. It has the ACT drive lower unit and the dewatering valve. Before trying to start it I changed out the fuel pump diaphram, changed the lower units grease, new plugs and the complete water pump. Yesterday I hung it on the boat, hooked up my ear muffs and started it up on the 3rd pull. But no water out the tell-tale. I did get water out of the tell-tale by holding the ear muffs real tight to the intakes but also got some water coming out the hole in the rear of the housing by the lower mount. Is water coming out this hole normal with forced water pressure? TIA
