Even tho i am just finishing the rebuild i already have my sights set on a boat. It looks alot like a late 50s mfg I couldnt find any tags on it or identification at all. the only thing is the steering wheel says Tara. Its a 2 seater little powerboat. Ill be visiting the consighnment tomorrow to find out more about it and a price.

Re: New Possible Project

Yes its in very good shape. Still looking This company is not even listed in the fiberglassics site. I will continue on. The boat came with a bimini 90 ezloader galv trailer and a 73 evinrude that seems to have some life. all for $500
It came with 3 gas tanks. Anyone know of a good way to clean out a plastic tank?
I think ill toss the 2 metal cans they where omc with engine.

Re: New Possible Project

The floors are layed directly to the hull.
The transom has no actual outer skin just paint and about 2 layers of glass on the inside thats delaminated. My main concern is to find the actual maker of this boat.
Its registered as a 1957 Glasply but i cant seem to find any Glasply boats that are older than a 1960-1970 i have posted on the owner forums and they said the same. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance
Garrett

Re: New Possible Project

that type floor was quite popular in the 50's. maybe it is a pre mass production model.

Not to sure myself tash. I just wanted to restore it to the original look. The wood on the dash is not original there are all cutouts for gauges etc under it. The search continues...
Thanks for the replies and help
