The speedo reads up until I'm up on plane. It's mounted at the lower edge of the step and not the bottom. I'm pretty sure it's there because the back of the boat corners angle forward from the transom outward and the only place to mount it is where it is now. Is there an adapter plate or spacer that is wedge shaped that I can buy to allow me to move the mounting to the right a couple inches, just around the angled surface? Or do I have to figure out a way to mount it to the absolute bottom of the transom below the step?
I've also heard that some speedometers have an adjustment on the back of the dial. Is this true?
