New Style U-joint Bellows DP-SM

Just opened my new U-Joint Bellows kit (VP 23075752). Surprised to see that the new design is much different than the old-style "radiator hose", soft rubber design. The new one is a pleated hard-ish plastic with soft rubber mating ends. I usually seek out the VP replacement parts but I'm wondering if this new design has been full vetted. I think the 3-party equivalents are still using the old style "radiator hose" design.

Any experience with the new VP bellows design that is worth sharing?

I installed these new design bellows in 2018. Each year I inspect them thoroughly (as best I can with a bore scope). They have been on my list to replace ( I usually replace every 5 years). They are going into their 7th year and look like new. Boat is freshwater/brackish. My universal bearings are non-greaseable, so no reason to pull annually for lube.
