Nice boat and trailer. Now get out there and clean that snow off before the top caves in.

Welcome to iboats.

Great looking boat, is that a white leg of death sticking out the stern? Also looking forward to more pics with out the snow.

Re: New to me...22ft Holiday V5

I think that it is a 1981 model, it has a OMC out drive of what I think is the stringer i/o. The motor is gone, previous owner said that the outdrive seized up. It on a Shorelander single axle roller trailer. The trailer has had the axel replaced at some point, it currently has 15 inch tires on it and looking at the trailer fenders they seem just a little bit out of proportion with the 15 inch wheels, maybe the original had 14's.

The plan for now is get the snow cleaned off and tarp it up for a couple of months, I have a shop that is not completed which will be able to house the boat( not finished because I am helping my son in law with his).

I have read of a couple of i/o conversions to outboards, that is what I am thinking about.

I am sure that I will be asking a lot of questions in the months ahead, and I will try and get some more pictures posted.

Conversion to an OB sounds like fun. Will keep my eye on this.

The full cover is really nice. Did you trailer with it on?

I have a Shorelin'r for the 21' Mariner. Looking at yours, it looks like it has a really long tongue and a short frame. The frame attaches to the tongue much further back than mine. Just thought it looked a little different. The 15" tires might need to go like you said.

Here's a pic of my trailer, just for comparison.

Good luck finishing the work shops. Hurry up so we can see what you do to the boat.

Yeah, this pix looks like the bow is already too far forward (putting the winch post too close to your truck):

And to fully support the hull's transom, it could stand to be slid @6" more further forward...

Switching from roller support to bunks, might let you push the boat back a bit more then it is now.

But currently it looks to be weighted fore & aft pretty good, not too much or too little tongue weight, and the axle looks to be located about right right spot. Making changes to better fit the boat's hull, may mean making quite a few alterations to the trailer setup. Not too difficult, and might make it ride & support the boat better.....

Don't tow it too far, those 14" tire fenders look like they'd easily come in contact w/ the current 15" tires...
