New to me thunder craft with 2.3l cobra, a quick question

First off, this forum has a wealth of knowledge so thanks in advance to everybody! My question, my shift lever has both trim and tilt switches, the trim seems to work great but the tilt switch does nothing. What is the tilt for and is this a big issue?

On a Cobra, "trim" should raise and lower the drive slightly to adjust the attitude of the boat under power (even full). The "tilt" is how your raise and lower the drive for trailering. You can tilt way up to make way over shallow areas, but you don't want to run too much power while "tilted" up. Make sense?

Post a picture of your control. Probably isn't OEM.

Cobra's didn't have a tilt or trim option. Just up or down.
