exquisite cleaner

someone recommended this on one of the wakeboarding sites i read. i bought some and gave it a shot:

i couldn't be happier with it. its a mild soap that you work in with the brush. it cleans out the grain of the vinyl and also the stitching and any piping you may have. you can see the grime you're cleaning up when you wipe it down with the micro-fiber cloth (important step, regular cloth won't get it all up)

i'd show pics but i have battleship grey seats that are 21 years old, pics don't show what you can feel when you run your hand over the cleaned seat.

i was a huge fan of magic erasers before. from doing some more reading, it seems that the erasers actually erase away the outer layer and protective covering of the vinyl over time...no thanks.

she only sells on ebay right now but she's very responsive if you have questions.

search 'exquisite cleaner' on ebay

the seats in both the Scarab & the Celebrity are white vinyl...i've been going thru gallons of 3M Vinyl cleaner and dont like the way white comes off every time i clean the seats...Not to mention the re-upholstery job on the Scarab cost me 4K ...Soooo, to make a long story short...i bought some ( exquisite cleaner ) on e-rip-off..never would have without the endorsement, We'll see......

excellent

fyi...walmart has packs of microfiber towels in the auto area for $5 or so. it takes at least 2/seat, depending on size of the seat of course, to get them really clean/dry.

haha might try it.... but greased lighting is the only way i go. i detailed boats at the carwash i worked at and thats what we always used. but you cant let is sit on the vinyl or it will streak it. but if you spray the vinyl with water and then spray the gl it'll be good. its seems tho that gl has not been as potent lately. a scrub brush with gl is a must but who actually believes you can spray a cleaner on then wipe the dirt, scum, fish slime, worm slime, sand, beer, right off of a seat

sorry to hear that marine4003. what sort of dirt are you cleaning that you need to repeat 3-4 times? i'd have to stop and wash microfiber towels to do that. were the towels still dirty after you wiped the seat with them?

i've used it on my boat carpet with good results, also leather sofa at home. oh yeah, my hot tub cover too.

it's not going to remove nasty stains that have set.

642, watch it with those erasers. you're reportedly stripping off the outer layer of vinyl over time.

The instructions stated to repeat as needed...well, the vinyl is only a year old,its white & teal, the seats dont have stains per-se,what it is ..is suntan lotion and general use ,slight dirt,i used Esq. on port seat..as directed, then used Starbrite Vinyl Shampoo on Stb'd seats..BIG difference, Plus the SB vinyl is concentrated so it makes alot more than the 16oz bottle...then follow-up with 303 protect ant, former vinyl in C.C. lasted 12 years of heavy use with that method. For the fellow using greased lighting on his vinyl....that stuff is industrial strength cleaner...so not meant to use on vinyl,it'll strip the plasticizers out and dry out the seats...bad stuff.
