Newb Here! Good Morning

I’m in need for a small boat motor for my 1 acre pond. I’ve been looking around and everything is so expensive nowadays. I was sitting on my pier watching my fish feed yesterday evening and a light popped on in my little brain that I had my Grandfathers old Firestone 7.5 in my shop. Years ago I had done many searches on these motors and never found anything. But I ran a quick search on YouTube and found quite a bit . Then that led me to here .
I tried to place this in the correct forum but I couldn’t find one specifically about motors. Here is the Manufacturers tag . I need to find out as much as I can- there are parts missing .

Your motor--10 A 131 is a 1960 model. Actually made by West Bend, who bought Firestone in 1960. What parts are missing? What are you wanting to know?

Thank you so much! I’m going to start cleaning it up today. I know the original problem was a bad impeller, but I need the bolts for the lower unit , prop, sheer pins. I’m probably going to need a seal kit for the lower unit also.more to follow as I try to get it to fire. Also, is there a way to convert the fuel hook up connection to something more current ? New plug wires too.

I really should have sat down and made a list- Sorry.

At this point I’ll need both coils, shift cable ( and I don’t know if it comes with the bracket because I don’t see how I would get it back through the upper shift linkage), bolts to mount the lower unit back on , outer fuel pump housing, Manual and seals for the lower unit ?

I completely restored one. Turned out nice. Found what I needed on ebay and some other places on the web.

Do you know how to check the coils?

you can ohm test them. Google it. Plenty of videos
