Well DH and I are taking the plunge..
We just agreed to buy a boat today...

We are getting a 2004 Rinker RX1

Now just need to start planning my summer weekends.. and do a little bit of reading here to learn everything there is to learn

Welcome to iboats and boating!
Be sure you also take a boating safety course. I did and learned a lot also might help you out with your insurance premium.;) Give you more money for fuel!:D

I made my wife take the course also...in fact, anyone who might be in control of your boat at anytime should take the course.

another thing i would suggest.....is take an experianced person on your first voyage...get them to show you how to launch.....

another good idea is to take a day and sit at the boat launch...you learn really quick what to do ....heh heh heh ...and what not to do...
