I just resently bought a 1965 ( i think) Lone star boat from my girlfriends sister. With a 1959 evinrude 35 hp lark motor on it. When i got *** the floors had rotted out and the last owner cut a few holes in it  but not on the outside of it thank god! So i am trying to get it some help since this is my first time doing anything like this. So guys and gals.. Any help will be appriciated.. heres some pics of it.. i hope this works...

Welcome to I boats.
Get yourself a photobucket account and you can resize your pic's there to the standard size 640 X 480. You can also attach a link to your signature. Photobucket accounts are easy and free.

What specificly do you need help with?

I would recommend doing a lot of reading here on iboats and making some key decisions before diving into the project such as:

Type of resin - Polyester resin vs. epoxy resin
Type of wood - Marine vs. construction grade vs. composite

Re: Newbie.. Restoration help..

hey guys- Im new to this site as well but have done a few restorations on different boats. All I can say is to be sure to do some research and don't be afraid to ask questions. Working with fiberglass will make life temporarily crappy! I've had more than one cold shower, lol! Boats are a black hole for money as most of you guys know, but the end result is something beautiful...

I'm lucky this is a aluminum boat the only fiberglass is on the front top part and the side rails the rest of it is aluminum.

Re: Newbie.. Restoration help..

Well i have the floors all ripped out, and took shop vac and got all the little stuff and what was left of the wood that was on the deck. Now i am using marine grade plywood about 1/2 thick for the floor. Now one question i havent seen answered in here is since i have the original rubber sealant still down on the bottom should i reseal it again and what with. roffing tar or roll on bedliner paint?

Use gluvit to seal up the bottom. I'm a Starcraft guy and we do a lot of aluminum boat restorations in our forum. You might want to peak into our inner sanctum and follow a couple of our restorations. This will probably answer many questions.

If it's an aluminum boat the Starcraft guys have sealed it, stripped it, painted it and got her to quite leaking, all for free! OK I'm lying about the free part, the rest is all true. We require pictures though, do the photobucket thing, 640 x 480.

Good luck.
