I have a 1973 Starcraft with 85HP Johnson OB. I live near the Chain O Lakes in Illinois and I would like to know about operating my OB in this climate. At what point should I stop running the boat on the water? Meaning, can an OB motor operate in cold water as long as it is not freezing? Any suggestions on when I should stop using the boat and have it winterized?
