Re: NFL - Week 13

They followed up the gift win that the Steelers gave them 2 weeks ago, with a Road win Sunday. They "might" not be as bad as I thought?!
They played Oakland who has now lost 5 in a row. 2 of Oakland's wins are against Jacksonville and Kansas City.

Yes, but the other is against the Steelers, before Ben Roethlisberger was hurt. A win on the road, especially all the way on the opposite coast, is still a big deal in the NFL. The Browns might have some actual ability, to go along with their newfound confidence?

They will still be the ones in the super bowl.

See who it will be from the west. Even though the 49ers played poorly yesterday, I think they will be the ones in it. Just not sure the Falcons can actually do it in the post season.

No love for the Pack huh? Dangerous playoff team once the injurred defense returns...

Here's Ponder's problem:

Vikings

I like the comments at the bottom the best. My favorites:

"In typical Christian Ponder style, after the wedding there will be NO RECEPTION"

"And if Christian struggles on his wedding night like he does in games he can just hand her off to Adrian Peterson."

... Aaron Rodgers is easily the best QB in the NFL.

Easily? There go your fantasy thoughts again. I think Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady might also disagree.

I guess you're a bandwagon Packers fan now too? What happens if they lose in the playoffs agin this year? You rooting for the team that beat them?

Not saying the Packers are the best team in the NFL, just that Rodgers is the best QB. If Rodgers had an O-line at all, and the receivers that a few other teams had, imagine how much better the Packers would be. I agree, the other 3 mentioned are also great but considering the numbers he is putting up with what he has to work with, he is darn good.

No...not like you do with College football. I don't have a favorite team since there isn't one in LA. I root for the team that has my fantasy league players basically.

There's a two time Superbowl MVP QB named Eli whe beat Rodgers two times in the playoffs recently who may beg to differ. You know me, I'm impartial...

I have both Luck and Eli on my fantasy team. Eli has been pretty bad the last few weeks(at least for fantasy points). Thank goodness we started Luck in those. Eli has had an off year for him. I agree, he has been pretty clutch in playoffs and SB when he needs to be in the past.

Sure would like you to tell me the 2 times Eli beat Rodgers in the playoffs! Last year was the only time.

Maybe you forgot but Rodgers was the MVP in the SB the season before that. Pretty amazing for a guy who only started really in 2008 and has the highest avg passer rating ever.

So much Aaron Rodgers hate. He isn't really that good. All he's actually done is have the highest season and career passer rating in history, best TD/INT ratio in history, win a Super Bowl, and take his team to the playoffs going on 4 of his 5 starting seasons. All while being sacked more than any other QB in the league over that period. That guy has no talent at all.

Yes you are correct, one time in a playoff game. The other playoff was the ex-Jet QB.
All top shelf QB's have their moments. Eli tends to shine in the fourth qtr and as an underdog in the playoffs. He can appear dull and lackluster as well at times.
I wouldn't kick Rodgers off my team for eating crackers in bed for sure! ; )

That explains everything, actually. You know accounting, not football. Every argument you can ever make is invalid at this point.

You don't comprehend what people type. Bruce used a description of "easily" the best. As if noone is even close. Well, that's just not true.
Yes AR has the highest QB rating this year at 105. But guess what? Peyton Manning's was 104.6 before last night's game. AR is 4th on comp percentage, he's tied for 2nd in TDs, and 10th in yards. So while he's definately at the top of most every list, he's not EASILY the best. He is "arguably" the best. And he's been to 1 SB and won it. Ben Roethlisberger's been to 3 and won 2. Peyton Manning's been to 2 and won one. Drew Brees has won one. Eli Manning has won 2. Brady's won 3 and been to 5?
