Re: NFL - Week 2

I deserve losing last nights pick. I knew better than stay with Pgh, but my heart told me no way they could drop the first two games, even when so many starters were watching the the game from beds at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. :faint2::eek::facepalm:

Last week I started a spread entry for yucks and giggles. Man am I bad at that! Got 6 right and those for no particular good reason. I will try again this week but likely abandon it before the season is over.

Thank Goodness I am fishing weekends and can't see the crap the NYGiants are displaying on the field. Listening is not a great thrill either. Nice job Musky. Gonna stop letting the darts decide and really concentrate on the choices this week, this way I can lose proudly.

I was listening to a sports show at lunch time and were talking about all the 0-2 teams and which ones had a chance to make the playoffs. Apparently, historically only 11% of 0-2 teams make it. I am thinking the Giants have the best chance since they are in the weakest division. Might make it with 8 or 9 wins this year.

Thanks Angus. I think I'll keep my eyes closed again this week when I make my picks... :)

Didn't the NYGs start 0 - 2 one year and ended up winning the Super Bowl?

Only two weeks in and one game behind. It's still anyone's guess how things will pan out. Giants won the Superbowl after starting out 0-2. Look at the Ravens last year. I believe Boomer Esiason when he says the team that begins to improve in Nov is the team to watch. Hoping things improve....hell, they got to!

Plus the Gigantes are in a week division which helps. No wildcard is coming from there so they are going to have to be the winner.

They have a similar problem to the Steelers. No run game. 50 yards and 23 yards is not going to win any games.
