Re: NFL - Week 9

Is Tampa Bay going to take down Seattle? Wilson was just intercepted at the goal line and got a 15 yd. face mask on top of it. Pitt & NE tied at 24, half way through the 3rd qtr. Of course Art & I pick the Pats.

NE sure must have went bonkers. Last I saw they were tied at 24, I believe.

You would think at this point of the season there would be more consistent teams... There's a few, but a lot of them are up and down....

Re: NFL - Week 9

Sounded like Mn had their chances. I was listening to the game on the radio while working. They gave up 2 quick TDs starting the second half that killed them. One was a fumble in the end zone..... But they still almost pulled it off. AP had over 100yds.. I thought around 160, but not positive..

Well, they had some grief here and there, but the Vikings didn't lack for effort. I hope you DVR'd it because there were a couple of great plays. First, Rudolph catching a pass and then breaking about 5 tackles to get in the end zone. The best was when Peterson got stopped dead at about the 5 or 6 and was going down when Ford grabbed him under the arms and carried him in. Fun stuff.

I remember the AP deal. Ford is a rookie. That will help score him some points. Yeah, Mn could have folded after the poor start in the 2nd half, but they did come back. Just wonder what the loss did to the teams moral. I guess we'll find out Thursday. Short week.... At home against the 'Skins....... Oh, didn't DVR it. Daughter told me about the end of the game. She was excited when the Vikes took the lead, then disheartened when Dallas scored late.....

Only because I figured Keenum needed more time as the starter. We'll see, it's early.

Well, even though I'm a long time, hard core Bears fan, I picked Green Bay tonight. Already looking like a good guess which is nice since I seemed to miss on most of them this weekend.

GB here too. At home and favored was my reasoning. Now Rodgers is out with a left shoulder injury. But the Pack is ahead for now.

Yep, wanted to change my pick and go with my heart, but my head won out and I stuck with GB. DA Bears! Good game of back-up QB's.

All I can say is this has been one topsy-turvy year. Vikes, Steelers, Giants and Texans have just flat died, not to mention that a little past midway the entire state of Florida is only 4-20 in NFL play. Whoda thunk.:facepalm:

And don't forget the ravens collapse, and the Chiefs winning everything with last years SF back-up QB! And coaches and QBs dropping with ailments! Yep, one crazy NFL year!

Rodgers out with a broken collarbone? Did I hear correctly? That will make for some Packer adjustments ...

I think this year has to rank near the top for star player injuries. Even reaching to the sidelines with the coaches. MRSA running through Tampa Bay and I don't know what running through Miami.

Yep. They haven't said how long he'll be out. They don't think he'll need surgery.....
