Nice Little Johnson Engine, What Year?

I have a little Johnson engine, model HS 15, serial number 380814. Cleaned it all up and got it running. Runs strong. This is a little beast! Can you tell me what year and horsepower it is?

1940 2.5 HP. J8J plug, 0.030" gap, 1/2 pint of 2-stroke oil per gallon of gas (16:1 pre-mix)

Thank you! 16:1, eh? That's rich...BTW, do you know where I can find an exploded view parts list? I would like to identify a fuel shut-off valve and a water exit fitting. Thanks, again!
