no ignition on spark plugg

hello,i bought me an old boat with a suzuki DT40 from 1986, my problem is that i cant get ignition on the spark pluggs, i bought new switch,original suzuki,and a un original emergency switch,,i have electric start,and the starter turns the motor when i use the switch,but no ignitions, is there someone who please can tell me what i can do to check out whats wrong? step by step...... i tested all the wire from controlbox till motor,and all is ok. i dont get any sound on the buzzer inside the control box.will the buzzer make a sound before the engine start? or is it only if the oil/water is not correct...<br />hope someone can help me....

If there is a large wire harness connector in the engine housing, disconnect that check the connections. Corrosion can prevent making good electrical connections. While you have that disconnected, jump the starter solenoid to see if you now have spark. If the engine does start you will need to choke the engine to stop it, or pull off the spark plug wires. If the engine now has spark, the problem is in the wire harness or control box. If you still don't have spark, the problem is in the engine electrics.
