my manual says to disconnect oil line while running on shop tank to verify "no oil alarm" is working. I have been running this engine (99 200 johnson)on a shop tank (premix) while doing my setup and installing the oil tank. i've had the oil line nipple on the vro capped. i've been getting a "low oil" alarm (tank sender was hooked up but didn't have oil in it) and light but not a "no oil". So it appears this part of the warning system is not functioning. What is the next step in verifing what could be wrong? Thanks n advance.
