I have a problem when it comes to the upcoming boating season. I recently moved to a big new apartment complex and now keep my boat at an outdoor storage facility. The problem is there is no available fresh water at either location to rinse my boat/trailer and flush my outboard motor out after being out in the salt. I don't really no any locals I could ask and there is nothing at the ramps. I know how important it is , so if anyone has run into this problem or has any suggestions, please let me know.

Greatly Appreciated,
Rocks

p.s. 17' w/125hp Johnson

Re: no place to flush

You can use a car wash. The kind where you put in your money and the pressure wand fires up for 5 minutes or so. I would ask other locals at the launch to see where the would suggest to flush the motor.

If they let you wash a car at the apartment, they might let you wash your boat.

Thanks for the advice roscoe. Unfortunately they don,t allow any washing at my complex. There are'nt even outside faucets! I thought about the car wash thing, but what about hooking up the muffs? Any other ideas out there?
Thanks,
Rocks
