No power to red wire inside remote control

Hi,

Starter won't turn. There's no power at the red wire inside the remote control.

The battery is new and fully charged.

There is 12v on the cigarette lighter socket on the dash.

The power trim works.

There is 12v inside the solenoid box on both sides of the fuse.

What else is in between the remote control and the battery that I can check?

Found this fuse in the engine. What would cause it to blow?

What motor? Look for a fuse near the starter solenoid. EDIT: Yep that's the fuse I meant. Like any other fuse, it blows because of an overload or short circuit. I can't find it for you from here.

Never seen a fuse this small. Where would I find a replacement and what should I ask for?

Take the old fuse into an auto parts store (or hard ware store) and match it (amp rating along with physical size). Buy three or four.

Will give that a try. All the auto parts stores here are closed on weekends so I did a make shift repair. Balled up some wire and soldered it so it would keep its shape then plugged in into the fuse connectors. Is probably be as well cutting off the old glass fuse connectors and making this permanent, but I always feel bad chopping original bits off classic machinery.
