(1991) Suzuki DT85 85 hp. two cycle motor starts and idles OK. When tested on land with muffs on, it runs fine (5000 rpm is possible) but when in the lake, it only goes to 1100 RPMs and dies when you try to add more power. The overheat sensor and oil sensor were removed by the dealer during a repair since he could not find parts.
The original complaint was that it would run full throttle for awhile then suddenly drop to 3500 RPMs. Sent it to the shop to fix this and it came back and will only run at 1100 RPMs and dies in either forward or reverse. Both times it was in for repair they said it was running fine, but neither had put it in the water for a water test. Now what???

Re: no power

Send it back to them and tell them it is not fixed and return the money you payed. then take it to someone that knows what they are doing. No one should ever remove the safety system.
