I was out in boat yesterday and first the radio stopped working and then the boat just died, then had no power would not turn over at all and also the boat lights would not work, the trim motor worked and the fishifinder worked because it is directly hooked up to battery. My father called the mechanic and was told it was probably the selenoid but i think there is a loose connection or a blown fuse. It does not make since to me that something on the motor would make the radio and lights on the boat not work. What do you think?

Re: No power

What is the make\model and year of your boat?

Is this boat a tiller model or a side console?

How many batteries, and fuse blocks do you have?

How old are the batteries?

When was the last time they were charged?

Is there an on board charging system on the boat?

When was the last time that this boat was serviced?

Did you hear any thing that might have sounded like a pop prior to losing power?

The answers to these questions will help us give you valid responses.
