No Spark On 90's Johnson And Evinrude

I Have A Couple Of Friends That Have Been Struggiling With Spark Issues.one Day They Have Spark And The Next Not. Have Tried Throwing New Stator And Coils And Some Days It Works And Others Not. Do Not Think There Is A Problem With The Tether Switch. But I Will Chk This Out. I Just Wonder If There Was A Common Failure As I Have Heard About This From A Lot Of Other People. Thanks For Any Help

I guess if you are sure it is not the cut out (tether switch) and you have replaced the coils and the stator, the only think left is the power pack, but it fairly expensive to replace on a guess, only other thing is bad wiring somewhere, you are positive it is spark related?

you have to trouble shoot on the day it will not fire. sounds like corroded, dirty connections.
