I have no spark at all three cylinders on my 1976 70hp. I was running down the lake and lost power. So i dont think it is the stator, or coils. I also had no problems charging the battery when running. I am thinking it is the powerpack. I have tested the ignition switch and its not that. Any and all help is appriciated.

Have you checked all your wires. Double check all your wires and there connections. Could also be your fuse.

i have checked the fuse and wires, everything seems to be fine. The choke solenoid wires have been disconected but other than that, everything looks fine.

Does it spin over with no spark or will it just not spin over?

mostly power pack. disconnect the big red plug, and jump the starter solenoid, check spark just to be sure.

explain this a little better if you could. by big red plug you mean the main wires running to the control unit? and by jumping the solenoid you mean wire around it to get the started to engage? and mostly power pack? if i have spark after doing this does it mean bad power pack?

yes you got it.... big red plug is the intruments cable.... i think what tashasdaddy trying to do is to eliminate any short possibility in the kill switch...

yes. bypass the soleniod.....

if you have spark after this it means that you either have a wire problem or is the ignition switch posible your kill terminal is rusted or stuck and you will have to get a new switch....
