1989 90hp johnson, ran motor today and after about 10 mins. i shut it off an notice cyl. 2 and 4 were ice cold. So I assume it has no spark on these cyl. maybe why it seemed too idle a little rough. If it were just 1 cyl. I would guess maybe a coil but 2 cyl.s on the same side I am guessing something else?I haven't change the coils from 1 side too the other yet, what other things should I look at............

Re: no spark

well still no spark on 1 bank. new power pack.......I check the ohms on the timer base an get 41 on all 4 wires.I get no ohm reading between the brown an brown/yellow wire.I don't have a DVA meter but hooking up the ac meter an spinning it, I get what looks like 35 on the timer base all 4 wires an the stator the voltage changes too fast ...I did the, change the brown -brown/yellow going too the power pack and it still ran on the same 2 cylinders.Looks like I need too come up with a DVA meter but the cost of the timer base or stator is going too set me back a fews months........thanks for any help
