Thirty years ago it was considered okay, not great, just okay. Today it would be considered a death trap:)

Re: norlantic inflatable

why would it be considered a death trap, boat has been deflated and stored in my basement for the past ten years and has never had an engine on it and i dont think i will install an engine, im going to use it to row in from my boat to the beach, looks like brand new, is there something i should be looking for on it????

Probably was reffering that most antifouling paints are no water environmental friendly today as thay are made with based metals as main product. Back at the good old days you could use whatever product you wanted..

"i purchased this boat used and cant find much info on it, is it a good boat?"

It is a POS due to it's age. The fabric and glue are far outside the range of what would be considered reliable. It's the equivalent of drinking milk that is two weeks past it's expiration date. It may not be sour yet, but it's not fresh and will turn any second.

For bottom paint you would need inflatable boat bottom paint which is available through any marine dealer.
