Out of curiosity, what is normal oil pressure? My gauge reads about 50 at idle, verified with a mechanical gauge, and about 70 at high rpm ( never checked with a mechanical gauge when operating, but I assume it's correct.) Is this too high, and, if so, what might be the cause? New sending unit, pressure switch and gauge, didn't change reading. Sorry to hijack a thread, if this question is considered doing so.
