Not Looking Good

I am flying up to AK tomorrow.

I even have a boat scheduled for Thursday.

It doesn't look good up there right now.

Last time it was that high, the fishing was terrible but the boating was fun.
Just gotta watch out for the floating logs and other junk coming down.

Well,
I was going to take a military plane up there. They cancelled all the seats this morning. bummer!!

I called the boat rental place and they refunded my money. They wouldn't have let me take the boat up there anyway.

The Little Susitna river is running at 14 feet. I have walked across that river before and not gotten the "jewels" wet.

My buddy said it has been raining solid for two weeks and then it dumped between 3.5 and 4 inches on Friday.
Wow! That is a LOT of rain.

Guess I will just stay home and fish here.

That is a bummer. I talked to my sister and BIL last night (they're in Anchorage - USAF) and they said it was pretty rough around there. You're probably not missing much (other than getting away!)...

How long have they been up there in Anchorage?
I was stationed at Elmendorf for nearly 9 years. Could be one of those small world things. Or is that the "six degrees of seperation"?

They've been there about a year and a half (Lt. House). They really like it. I'm planning on going up next June and am really looking forward to it.
