Not peeing

98 115 mercury mariner

I got the trim working and took the boat out for a test ride, I noticed the temp running at 3/4 at idle and at when the tach hit the 4 temp was at full so I trailered the boat, I also noticed it wasnt peeing with as much pressure as normal, when I went to flush the motor out at home no pee at all. I am guessing something might have got sucked in but have no idea how to go about checking this.

Replace the impeller. Simple, cheap, fixes almost everything.

pop out your thermostats and replace them! While you have them out, hook up your muffs and run your hose to see what comes out! Make sure you put the caps back on first!!!!!!!!

too easy, any sugestions where to go for instructions or a manual on how to do, its looking like a slow day at work I am going to try and do some internetin Ill let yall know if I find any good refrences.

youtube is a good place to look and get a good idea of what to expect on outboards.you may also find an operation manual for free @
www.brunswickmarineemea.com.covers most merc outboards back to the 70's and pdf file so can be stored and read on your computer.nb this is not the maintenance manual as they like to make some money somewhere.
