Not sure how many of yall saw my post on Non-Boating tech topics about shipping a firearm back to the factory for repairs but here's the story anyway.

I went to UPS web site and found out it had to be shipped from their terminal, that it couldnt be shipped from a retail outlet. Fine, I think, so I stop in one of the retail places to double check any other policies that I might not have seen on the web site. The guy tells me that the box use to ship the gun can not allude to the fact that there a firearm inside and that you can't wrap the box in paper to hide that fact because the paper will tear and possibly jam conveyors. He said that you could rebox the box that the gun came in so it cant be identified as a gun. SO, I bring my gun and box to the UPS retail store and they rebox it real nice and protected for me...extra bubble wrape and such as that. Well, today I take it to the terminal to ship it and while I was filling out the little form before I get in line I hear the lady tell someone else that all boxes have to be opened and contents inspected before they can ship it. SO, a little miffed I open my box dig the gun box out, unwrap the box that I'd wrapped in paper to hide the fact that it was a gun and the lady tells me "HOney, you didnt have to do all that to ship that gun. Have to do is look at it and make sure thats what it is."

NOW, I want my 15 bux back that the chap at the UPS store clipped me for when he boxed my gun box all up! ! ! !
