LOTS of good advice in here.

It doesn't really make a difference what make it is. ANY model that is neglected, will neglect you. Take care of it, and you get the idea.

Yes the OMC stuff is harder to find, it's just a matter of how "into" it you are.

In my case, I have learned my rig like the back of my hand. Everything about it is simplicity and easy to work on or get at, EXCEPT THE TILT MOTOR.

Honestly, it took a long time to get comfortable with it.

Is it perfect, no far from it, but what ever is?

What happened with your tilt issue?

LOL... This TIlT problem is never ennding..

i got a real mechanic that work on OMC. he use to have his shop near my home. i mean a few blocks away..

well even him. got a little owrry about it. LOL. he said wow this is some weird one..

well we check the selonoid and it was not the problem. we check the wire running from the solonoid to the tilt motor is good....

the only thing he said . if the wire is good .. the selonoid is good. and the installation of the tilt motor is good. then its the motor..

Updating!!!!!

Starboard ENGINE UPDATE!!!! RUNNING and TUNE ready for deployment

Got the mechanic to tune the carburetor and do the timing on Starboard Side Engine.. so that engines working like it suppose to. beside the tilt problem that's just a different story..

Portside ENGINE! Running But Leaking FUEL. Engine not TIME. Carb Not TUNE

Carburetor is leaking FUEL.. Somewhere and he decide its best for me to do the job. because it will take him a while. and it will be cheaper if i fix the leaking carburetor. then give him a call to tune it up..

Thats a HONEST MECHANIC.. i told him i dont have much cash. :redface:



well... tommorow i will fix that leaking carburetor and i will time the engine and tune the carburetor....


i keep posted of what happen..

Did you ever try running a straight 12 volts from the battery to the tilt motor? That would certainly, positively eliminate any wiring, switch, solenoid problems.

It's been my theory all along that you had a motor problem.

yep i try running straight 12 to the TILT motor. it goest up and down. but going up still kinda weak. but it goes up..

Up is always noticably slower than down.
