I'm working on my ~1990 25 HP Johnson. With thanks to Danny K and MG for answering my previous post, I got the new engine controller hooked up and cranked the engine, but it wouldn't start with throttle at idle (as always). Thought I'd be clever by setting it to a slighly higher idle. This time it fired up, but revved way too high. Probably ran for 1 or 2 seconds at most. Lowered idle, but throttle seems stuck in slightly open position and now engine doesn't turn over. About half the time I hear a click (starter solenoid?), other half not even that. Battery is fully charged. Tried rapping on the starter (maybe should have used a bigger hammer?
?)

Is this an electrical problem unrelated to over-revving? Did I sieze the engine? Did the boating gods curse me for not quitting while I was ahead? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. -glen

p.s. This is in my yard and of course this time I forgot to turn the hose supplying cooling water, but don't think ran long enough to be an issue.
